• How long does the whole process take?
  Most labs are live in 2–4 weeks from our first call. The timeline depends on how quickly you can share your content (bios, publications, research description). We do all the heavy lifting — we'll even help draft copy if you're starting from scratch.
• What do I need to provide?
  A 30-minute discovery call and some basic content: your research description, a list of lab members with short bios, a publications list, and any photos you have. Don't have photos? We'll handle that too. We work around your schedule — we know you're busy.
• Will I own the website?
  Yes — fully. Both plans give you complete ownership of the code and domain. With Launch + Maintain, we manage hosting for you ($99/yr). With Launch, we hand over the source files and you host wherever you like. We never hold your site hostage.
• What if I need changes after launch?
  Launch clients get 30 days of post-launch support, then you manage updates yourself (it's straightforward). With Launch + Maintain, we handle everything ongoing — new publications, lab members, grant announcements, and more — for $99/yr.
• Is this right for a single PI, or only larger labs?
  Both. About half our clients are solo PIs or early-career faculty who need a professional presence fast — especially around grant season and job market cycles. The other half are established labs with 10+ members. We tailor the scope to fit.
• Do you handle domain registration and hosting?
  With Launch + Maintain, hosting is included and managed by us ($99/yr). With the Launch plan, we deliver your source files and help you get set up wherever you want to host — including university servers if needed. Domain registration guidance is included either way.
• How is this different from Squarespace or hiring a freelancer?
  Squarespace gives you a blank canvas and your Saturday afternoons. A freelancer gives you someone who will need the entire grant cycle explained to them. We give you a finished lab website in weeks, built by people who have lived academic research — publications, personnel pages, research focus areas, the works. We know what grant reviewers look for because we've been grant reviewers.
• Is there a guarantee?
  Yes. If you're not happy with the final site within 30 days of launch, we'll either fix it until you are or refund your setup fee — no questions asked. We're proud of our 98% satisfaction rate and we want to keep it that way.
